TO BE A LEGEND, A CHAMPION OR HALL OF FAMER, YOU HAVE TO WA

No explanation needed really. My Mom and Pop not only raised me well, they have been super supportive and my prayer warriors. 

I would be NOTHING without GOD and their guidance. My very first heroes and legends.

My big sis is great. She’s the family manager. Her achievements in her career as well a her life and as a mother, to say inspiring would be an understatement. I followed in her footsteps when it came to running track. She has achieved and won at every stage of her life. In a lot of ways we are just a like. Her faith in GOD inspires me everyday. 

My first big brother Ramon. Ramon played high school football, is a writer and an artist. He’s mentally tough and brave. Endured at lot in his life which prepared him to be the Lt. Col he is. 2 time war veteran and great father. He was the first to move to Los Angeles. He has always rooted for me and supported my career and my life decisions. He is one of my heroes for sure.

My other big brother. Joe played high school football, wrestled, and was in the band. Guess who did those 3 things as well, me. Joe is brave. He as a big heart and an even bigger mouth. Lol. Joe is sure of himself and the first to enter the entertainment industry professionally. He started doing comedy in St. Louis and was the second to move to LA. He’s an actor, and a comedy legend

The numero uno. She’s the first born and has the heart of gold. A great big sister and has an even bigger sense of humor. Cookie, as we call her is a gifted writer. She’s creative and a great story teller. Those two things I love to do. She’s my hero. 

Yes. Little sisters can be hero’s too. Malaika is my younger sister and very talented. She actually started acting before even Joe and I when she was in high school. She went on to continue her acting as well as writing and producing in college. She’s won awards and she’s humble about it, but she is great. She’s a big supporter of my career. She’s also a great mother of three daughters. I salute her. 

The second richest Black man / Couple in America. The owner of Worldwide Technologies which is based in St. Louis. He and my father attended the same church. My dad being the beacon of light he was, befriended Mr. & Mrs Steward and the Stewards treated him like family. He’s my hero not just because of his wealth, but as a Black man who achieved his status while being one of the nicest people. 

I met him at a fundraiser I stepped in at the last minute to host for comedian Tommy Davidson who fell ill. At the time, Mr. Obama was running for Senator in Illinois and needed some campaign funds. He arrived with Chris Tucker. He was a cool and smooth dude. I had no clue who he was, but I decided to keep his campaign sticker not knowing that he would go on to become the POTUS. 

 I met Mr. Avant only once. That was at the premier oof his documentary “The Black Godfather” I identified with him because GOD he and I the same assignment and gift. To be connectors. To connect people who needed to know each other. That’s what I love doing and this is who Mr. Avant was. He was funny. Honest. Confident. Blunt but also kind. He was a treasure. 

I was not old enough to see the great Jim Brown play in the National Football League, but I felt like I was there the way my father would describe him. I enjoy his movies and football highlights. I finally met him in person and his presence and energy werr strong. He was an activist and great lacrosse player. I first met him at a function he had at his home in Hollywood for leaders. I was fortunate to be invited. 

The Greatest of All Time. If you would have told me 40 years ago that I would meet the boxer I watch fight after fight with my dad I would have called you a liar and spit in your face. I remember when the movie “The Greatest” came out and my dad taking us to the movie theater to see it. To have met him was one of the highlights of my life. Salute KING!

They Fly Jock. Not only did I have the pleasure of being a guest on his nationally syndicated radio show and perform non The Fantastic Voyage, I had the distinct pleasure of being apart of the legendary TOM JOYNER MORNNG SHOW, for the last two years of his career. Tom is a Legend. The greatest morning show ever. Not only did it wake you up, it was an institution.

Of course I listened to his albums that my dad had. As a child I did not know what to call this form of entertainment. I didn’t see it as a career path. But once I entered the genre, I fell in love with his comedic style. I would have never thought that I would meet him let alone have him come and see me perform at The Comedy Store for several of my Phat Tuesdays shows. 

 I first met Mr. Murphy in. 1992-1993 at Prince’s club in downtown Los Angeles named Glam Slam. I couldn’t believe it. That’s thee Eddie Murphy. He IS comedy. He would come to PHAT TUESDAYS a few times and check out the up and coming comics. I later had the BLESSING of be. Casted on one of the GREATEST comedy movies of ALL TIME named “LIFE”. Shut your MOUTH. 

I first met Martin Lawrence on the set of his sitcom in 1992. My brother Joe had taken me. Both Joe and Martin were the keys that started my comedy engine. I went on to work on the sitcom as a production assistant, a stand in, an actor and then co-write an episode that was produced and air. His hosting of Def Comedy Jam is what inspired me to do stand up a long with seeing Joe doing it too. Hero & legend. 

LEGEND. I loved his comedic mind. How he approached comedy. I patterned being political after him. The only DICK I was in love with. 

He was also from St. Louis and attended the same high school as my dad. He ran track like I did, I am HIM. I met him through his best friend the great Ed. Weinberger. We were both attending a bahmisfa party for one of Ed’s sons. He is one of my comic HEROES. .

 This dude has been doing comedy longer that ANYONE. He’s done it all. Seen it all and said it all. What can you not say about Mr. Wallace! He’s worked with every relevant comedian that ever even mattered. PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE and he is STILL funny and very relevant. He is a comedy savant. I’ve worked with him and studied him since the beginning of my career. 

One of the nicest, funniest and most liked comedians ever. Sinbad is just naturally funny, He’s clever and quick witted. I met him a few times but had the pleasure of sitting and talking to him on a plane ride an he dropped so much game on me about comedy, it furthered my respect and admiration for this comedic genius. Even while he is recovering from having a stroke, he’s STILL funny. 

What can I say. This actress has been killing the game for a while. I am proud to say that she’s a fellow St. Louisan. I haven’t had the pleasure of working with her yet, but we’ve met several times. A joy to be around and a natural at being funny. Her TV and screen work is effortless. 

Meeting this guy was epic. Like Richard Roundtree, Mr. Willliams was one of the coolest actors of his generation. Both were women’s heart throbs, but to Black men they were hero’s. They either got their man, as in. Nabbed the bad guy or got the girl. Most times both. Had a great conversation with Mr. Williams about acting. Found out that he hates auditioning just as much as I did. 

I’m a huge fan of his family and their GOD given gifts. I had the pleasure of working with his sister CeCe on the sitcom ‘Good News”, and the pleasure meeting Bee Bee on the set on a television production I was working on. Their music have uplifted people for decades and to see how cool he is, was dope. 

This R & B singer has won 7 American Music Awards and 1 Grammy. Brandy is the multi-talented actress / singer that is still putting in great work today. I had the pleasure of meeting her when I was punch up writer and part-time audience warm-up guy on her hit sitcom Moesha. She was always kind and pleasant and great to work with. Salute. 

What about your friends. I was always a fan of TLC and had the pleasure of working with the 4 time Grammy winner, T-BOZ during her charity event at The Grammy Museum at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. She had a Sickle Cell foundation that brings awareness to the disease. I was fortunate enough to be a part of a concert to raise funds for it.  

One of the most beautiful voices of this generation. Natural. Strong and pure is how to describe her vocal talent. I had the pleasure of working with this Grammy winner during T Boz’s charity event at The Grammy Museum at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. MAGIC JOHNSON

I am a fan of Erving “Magic” Johnson and Erving “Magic” Johnson was a fan of Phat Tuesdays. He was a frequent guest and had Guy Torry curate his comedy for his last Annual Mid Summer’s Nights weekend. Magic is the reason Why I’m a Laker fan. He’s a Hall Of Famer, MVP, 5 time NBA Champion, Olympic GOLD medalist and I would consider a friend. Great business man and funny dude. 

Kobe Bean Bryant. Man what a guy. He attended Phat Tuesdays before he was even old enough to drink. He didn’t, but we had to sneak him in the back because he was under age. He was always kind and gracious when I’d see him. His Mamba mentality and work ethic is what I really took from him the most. He loved the gift GOD gave him and sacrificed so much to be the best as the sport he played. 

Shaq is a big kid. I mean that in the nicest way. Before he even became a Laker, when he would be in town for games against the Lakers or Clippers, he made his way to Phat Tuesdays. In the off season, he was there almost every week. When he put his comedy roast together, he added me to the line up. When he got married with only 100 invited guests, I was on the list. When he’d have parties at his home, I was there. 

I can’t remember when I met “The Glove”. I was a fan of Gary’s basketball skills but not of him. He used to DESTROY my Lakers when ever he’d play them and my petty ass didn’t like that. But once I got to know him, man this dude with all the greatness he possesses, he’s as down to earth as an earth worm. GP “The Glove”. NBA Champion, Hall Of Famer. Olympic Gold medalist and currenr BIG 3 Basketball  Champion in Ice Cube's league. But he's also just all around cool ass dude. 

Hall Of Famer. Olympic God Medalist. Legend. I only met Mr. Barkley one time. I knew he had known my brother, but had no idea if he had seen my work or would even know who I was. Well he did. Even took a picture before he had to go and broadcast. Although he was never a Laker, he was one of my favorite players to watch and now he’s one of my favorite commentaters and desk persons to listen to.  

I didn’t like this dude growing up. He had the infamous quote during the 1983 NBA FINALS saying that they were going to sweep my Lakers. “Fo Fo Fo” (4-4-4) and you know what, He backed it up. When I met him that I forgave him. One of the nicest guys ever. He attended every show anywhere that I had in Houston. The Improv, The Toyota Center, The Red Cat. He was there. He even attended my wedding. Salute. 

Man I was NOT a Dr. J fan. I couldn’t be. I’m a Lakers fan. But because I am a fan of basketball I can’t hate on greatness. Mr Irving used to kill the Lakers on the court. I had the pleasure of meeting this basketball Hall of Famer twice. The first time was at LA Live during the ESPY’s and then again in 2023 at the Gary Payton Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament. The Dr. is as cool as advertised.  

Big Oak. The enforcer. Charles was a necessary piece on an NBA team. A guy that did all the dirty work and protect your star player. Block Shots. Grab rebounds. Score. Set Picks and intimidate opponents who tried to bully his teammates. As great as he was a a player, he was even better cook. Sometimes taking over restaurant kitchens and whipping up a professional chef like meal. 

Met Ty Lue at Phat Tuesdays. I under estimated his size because I was used to seeing him on TV with the other players in the NBA. I invited his short ass up son stage and quickly realized she’s noon shoot at all. We’ve been cool ever since. He’s a 3 time NBA Champion as a player with the Lakers and Champion as a coach. He’s one of the best coaches in the NBA and I’m sure he’s destined for the NBA Hall of Fame. 

B Shaw is what we call him. This dude have been able to collect 3 time NBA Championships rings as a player and 2 as an assistant coach with multiple teams. B Shaw was not only gifted as a player and a coach, the cat burn. If you have to tasted his fish fry, you are missing out on some fish that will make you slap yo’ mama. This pic was taken at Gary Payton’s Celebrity Golf Tournament in The Bay. 

Mr. Defense. Coop-a-loop. These were a couple of nick names he was called doing his “Show Time” era with the Los Angeles Lakers. This 5 time NBA Champion and NBA Hall Of Famer played with the greatest point guard of all time, Ervin “Magic” Johnson. Ran into Mike a Laker game and had to capture on of my child hood hero’s. 

“Limo’s - Hoe’s - And Papa Dueax “ That The Play Maker’s favorite thing to do on the weekends in Dallas when he was with the Cowboys. One of the greatest WR’s that made it to the NFL Hall Of Fame. This picture was taken in downtown Los Angeles in 2021 during Super Bowl LVI weekend. 

DL has always been at the right place at the right time whenever I need some comedy advice. Without me even saying anything of what I need advice on, just in conversation he drops gems. A master comedy craftsman that has come through for me when ever I needed him for my Phat Tuesdays 2.0 shows in downtown LA. 

 I met George in Sacramento in the late 90’s at the Punchline Comedy Club. He was hilarious. Funny. He was a technician at comedy. He had his jokes perfectly written down in his joke book with details and notes. I never seen anything like that at the time. His story telling and animated style was one to take in and study. It was not only entertaining to the audience, but enjoyable for comedians.  

One of the kings of improv, animated and physical comedy. I only met him when he did a show to raise money to put a new roof on The Comedy Store. It was a pleasure to watch him work. He had his note pad on stage and was going to work. To see his crowd work was like a clinic. His comedic mind worked so fast and was on point. To see the anticipation soon the faces of the audience was priceless. 

Kevin has continued the “Rock Star” comedy persona. Eddie Murphy is the first to take comedy to that level and then The Kings of Comedy picked up where Eddie left off. Kevin has taken that, and pumped it full of steroids and has broken records. He’s the hardest working comedian in Hollywood and I don’t see him slowing down……EVER. Salute to him for keeping the bar raised. .

 Katt definitely has nine lives. His acting and comedy career has seemed to be stalled, but this comedic genius keeps slapping us in the face with new life. Just when you thought he was quiet, he becomes the loudest voice in the room. A crowd favorite at PHAT TUESDAYS. Katt is another “Rock Star” comedian who has taken comedy to great heights. Those lives just keep coming. 

This kid. Yes even though he has more kids than 4 NBA players, I still see the kid that first came to PHAT TUESDAYS when he was a teenager and just study and execute the plans he put together. As talented as he is, he’s humble and always willing to put people on. It was great to have him a part of the Phat Tuesdays docu-series. 

 The ever so multi-talented Jamie has damn near done it all. Comedy Specials, Sitcoms, Movies, Music, Sketch Comedy, and even pickle ball. The guy has succeeded in every genre he’s touched. I’ve been knowing him for years and first worked with him on the “Shaq All-Star Comedy Roast” where he KILLED that too. Just when you thought he was gone for good, POP goes the Jamie. 

Shawn and Marlon Wayans put me in my first film, “Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood.” Ok let me catch my breath. These guy and the rest Wayans family don’t get the credit they deserve for their contributions to the industry and the Black community. I salute them and am forever grateful for the opportunities they provided for me. 

When I first saw Damon Wayans on the “Robert Townsends Partners In Crime” doing stand Up I was like; “This dude is a comic genius”. I wasn’t even doing or even thinking about doing stand-up comedy back then. To watch him work live and craft bits is something I recommend every aspiring comedian does. 

What can I say. Not only is he a St. Louis legend, but a comedy legend. I used to watch this comedic genius perform in St. Louis long before I even thought about doing stand up. Lavell continues to slay audiences and stay relevant. Lavell has been mentor and big bro from the start of my career as well as a Phat Tuesdays alumni.  

This queen of the comedy game is a legend. Stage, TV, Film and podcasts. I met her in the early 90’s and she is having a phenomenal career. We’ve been friends since then whenever I need her for any project, she does not hesitate to pick up the phone and say yes. I love her and she her career is a testament of her talent and hard work. t

Chris Tucker wow. I used to see this cat pulling up to comedy clubs in LA in the early 90’s in a Volkswagen Jetta with one headlight. He was destroying audiences all over the city. His rise to the top may seem over-night, but he grinned and worked hard to get to where he is. Chris took his brand of comedy to the big screen and never looked back. 

A sitcom LEGEND. Jaleel made television history with his portrayal of a fictitious character by the name of Steve Erkle. Of I was a fan of the show, but once I moved to LA one of my early gigs was being “A prop that eats” (An Extra) on the hit sitcom, “Family Matters”. It was the cafeteria food fight episode. We went on to meet several years later and became friends. This was a Dave Chappelle summer camp weekend. 

The man who brought the FUNK to James Brown’s band back in the day. I met Boosie in Las Vegas at the Steve Harvey Hoodie Awards. Boots has had hits that still are peoples rotation today.  Hits like: "I RATHER BE WITH YOU",  "GET UP OFFA THAT THANG," and several more. 

The King of Funkadelic. Never in a million years did I think I would ever be hanging with George Clinton. Partied to his songs for years. One night in HOLLYWOOD, he was honored and I was not going to miss an opportunity to meet the Legend. What a cool dude and experience. I then met him again in my hood of Downtown LA when he performed at LA Live. 

Cinderfella Dana Dane. Yes one of the legends of Hip Hop and brought his own style and point of view in HIP HOP that was timeless. Crazy to get a chance to talk to and even hang out with one of the legends of HIP HOP. Mutual respect for what we have both achieved in our careers.

I have been a fan of this R & B group since the 80’s. I can’t count the number of women that I have romanced with their songs. The song writing and execution of a song did all the work. All I had to do was not FUCK it up. I have ran into these gentlemen several times in airports while we are both going to or coming from gigs. 

You’ve seen him on the hit show, NIck Cannon’s “Wild’N Out and ain clubs and stages across the country. He Deejayed one of my Phat Tuesdays Live show in downtown LA when I was celebrating Phat Tuesdays. He’s solid on that show and just a solid person though out our friendship.  

I know my St. Louis people won’t like this picture because he moved the Rams out of The Lou, but they moved to ME. I live in LA. Before they built the new stadium, they played at the Coliseum which is walking distance. If I flew to ST. LOUIS just to. Goo to Ram’s home games, did you think I wasn’t going to go to games that I could walk to? Now had they moved to Las Vegas, I may have been mad. 

Jeanie Buss. The owner and President of the Los Angeles Lakers. When Phil Jackson was the coach, he was looking to build morale for the team when Shaq and Kobe was having their beef. Phil wanted to do a team building exercise and wanted to take them to a comedy show because they loved coming to Phat Tuesdays. She called me to set up a show in Sacramento where they were playing the Kings. 

How many times do you get the chance to come across A BILLIONAIRE? Certainly don't agree with his NEW political stance, support Dumb Donald.  I went to the Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle comedy show in San Francisco and Mr. Musk was at the show. I had to get a flick. A free Tesla would have been nice, but I settled for the flick.  

Rakim The God is right. One of my top 5 favorite Hip Hop artists. Rakim was just that dude. That MC that had flow, lyrics and that swag. He said something. I work on making sure I say something every time I hit the stage for stand-up. Am I comparing his bars to my bits, HELL NO! But has he been an influence on how I write. Comedy and Hip Hop are brothers. Rapping came from comedy. When Rakim blessed our presence at Phat Tuesdays by dropping by, man that was fucking spectacular. 

I am a huge Kid N Play fan. When I met them they were cool as hell. I’ve hung out with Kid several times. I often run into him at State Social, a cigar lounge on Sunset Boulevard. I really kicked it with him on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage where he won “The Sit Yo’ Ass Down” Award. It went to the person who you saw everywhere on the cruise. He was de-throned the next year by yours truly, me. 

One of the Queens of Hip Hop. I met Rage when we did the movie “Ride” which we shot in Jacksonville, FL. She was great to hang and work with. A natural talent and dope MC. She’s a not non-sense but sweet person. It’s the perfect balance of I fux with you but don’t try to no BS with me. She is authentically herself. You won’t get any games with her. She’s a Hip Hop legend. 

Of course I grew up as a fan of the 2 Grammy Award winner and Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame MC. I fortunate enough to work with him in a film called “Slow Burn”. The movie starred Ray Liotta, Mehki Phifer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Taye Diggs, myself and several more talented actors. We chopped it up on the set everyday and there was mutual respect for each others crafts. The cat is multi-talented.  

This ageless woman is still one of the dopest MC’s to rock the mic male of female. I’ve run intooo her a few times over the years at various places. We really got to chop it up on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage. We got a chance to chill talk and I was teaching her how to smoke cigars. She’s so dope and keeps reinventing herself. 

The baddest DJ in the land. First met Kid in LA when the Def Comedy Jam Tour came to town. I was barely doing comedy 3 months. Ended up taping Def Jam a few years later and then joined the tour myself. Kid would get the crowds at those shows like I’ve never seen. I’m shocked that the roofs on those venues did’t blow off. Kidd was there in Detroit at the Fox Theater for my first standing ovation. 

This guy brought a certain energy that was key ingredients to help form one of the illest HIP HOP groups of all time. Always running into him at Dave Chappelle comedy extravaganzas. Comedians and Rappers. We are cut from similar cloths just different fabrics. 

What REAL HIP HOP fan doesn’t know KOOL DJ RED ALERT? This legendary radio jock and DJ broke a lot of the HIP HOP artists that are the foundation that the genre was built on. He’s STILL going strong and STILL revenant. 

This “Edition” to the group is a big part of the group NEW EDITION’S Choreography. He was a fan of Phat Tuesdays from the word say GO! He was coming to Phat Tuesdays when it was in The Belly Room. New Edition is another one of my favorite R & B groups.  

This is a crazy story. It’s 1995 and Mr. Jordan’s sister was a regular at Phat Tuesdays. She brought me the single to “This Is How We Do it” to the club for me to play before it was even o the radio. She experienced me playing artists songs there. Well the song became a hit and we used it for the Phat Tuesdays documentary. This pic was in DC at a then “Redskin’s” game. 

What can I say. One of my favorite R & B groups, The O’Jays singer Eddie Levert. Met him on the Tom Joyner Cruise and I was excited to ask for picture, but he hit me first and said he wanted a picture with me. Such a surreal moment from a LEGEND. 

Went to hang out with my fellow St. Louisian Trumpet artists Keyon Harold and ran into a legend   had no idea who he was, but FUCKED AROUND AND FOUND OUT, WAH WAH WATSON was a part of the FUNK BROTHERS. They were studio musicians for MOTOWN. This guy created a certain sound in music that musicians use a ton today. 

Never really cared for John until he joined the Lakers. He won rings against us and that was why I didn’t care. Once I met him , it was all 

Good. What a great guy. Actor, Radio host, comedian if he wanted to, connector, and an NBA CHAMPION. Five time NBA CHAMPION. 

He was huge fan of Phat Tuesdays and helped me secure a spot in the Aspen Comedy Festival. He’s also in the my docs-series. 

Met this future NBA Hall Of Famer and 4 time NBA Champion at the Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock concert in San Francisco at Chase Arena where the Golden State Warriors play. The baby faced assassin was there in attendance with a few other Warrior players. I had to flick it up with this future Olympic Gold Metalist. He was cool and humble. 

The human highlight film Dominique was any basketball fan’s treat to watch. He and my big bro Joe were friends. I met him that way. He’s an NBA Hall of Famer, Dunk Contest Champion and current analyst for the Atlanta Hawks. He’s a cool cat. Funny. Humble and a wealth of basketball knowledge. He played in the Jordan and the Bad Boy era of the NBA. This pic was All Star weekend in Los Angeles.  

The “Ice Man” is what they called him. Most young NBA fans in the 80’s had this Hall Famers poster on their walls. He had the smoothest finger roll shot in the game. The only thing smoother was his personality. This OG was legit. This was a Gary Payton’s golf tournament. What a good time.  

OP is what they call him. OP was one of the last true centers to play the game in the paint. He played in an era of REAL centers. Malone, Shaquille, Kareem, Yao Ming, Oliver Miller, David Robinson, Ewing, Hakeem, Mutombo, and a few more. We became friends when I moved to LA. He was even a groomsman in my wedding. 

Oliver Miller was a problem when he played in the NBA. His size and athleticism was hard to guard in the league. When you played against him you felt like you are in a car crash afterwards according to other players. He attended my show in Phoenix and I had to capture this moment.   

I’ve been a WNBA fan since its inception in 1997. When the LA Sparks picked Lisa Leslie I was even more a fan. She’s a 2 Time WNBA champion, a 4 time Olympic Gold Metalist, as well as a 2 time FIBA World Basketball Champion. Along with those she has 2 Big 3 Championships in Ice Cubes Basketball league. She’s also a Charter School owner and most of all, one cool ass, real ass chick. 

I was on my way to a Clippers game. Yeah I know the Clippers. It was a free ticket and live across the street so that was a not brainer. As I was entering the arena, I happened to look up because someone was blocking the sun and it was WNBA player and two time Olympic Gold Metalist Britney Griner. I had to flick it up. I prayed and rooted for her to get out of Russia when she was arrested on some BS. 

Met her at my brother Joe’s Celebrity Basketball game in St. Louis one year. Ran into her again with her husband and child at one of the Maxwell / Jill Scott tour dates we did. She was a baller. Won an ESPY for best female basketball player and played in the ABL, the American Basketball League. It was the professional women’s basketball league before the WNBA. 

“Run TMC” is what they called him and two of his other teammates when they were in The Bay with the Golden State Warriors in the late 80’s and 90’s. I met the Basketball Hall of Famer, Mr Richmond in Sacramento with the KINGS. I’m glad he didn’t stay there because he helped the Los Angeles Lakers get a ring in 2002. 

A player that every team could use on their team. A 3 time NBA Champion with the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers, this dude was a factor in each of those Championships rings. 

He came from Championship stock. His mom Paul and Auntie Pam were OUTSTANDING players themselves at USC. 

I hate this guy. Lol. The Lakers seem to have trouble with this future NBA Champion and Hall Of Famer. He’s destine for both. His game is damn near indefensible. I had the pleasure being in Dallas for a Mavericks game and grabbed a flick.

When a new mall opened in downtown St. Louis, I stood in line with a few hundred others to get an autograph picture signed by non other than Ozzie Smith. I grew up in St Louis and and a Cardinals fan. I was asked to do a comedy set at Ozzie’s retirement celebration. We would go on and become friends he even attended my wedding and comedy shows.

Like me, we don’t smoke cigars, we are CIGAR SMOKERS. Gary even has his own line of cigars and blessed me with 2 boxes. “Money Making Mayweather” TBE. If you’re a boxing fan then you’re a fan of Floyd. The best defensive boxer in the history of boxing. 

Undefeated, Underrated and Under appreciated. He talks a big game but backs it up. What he doesn’t talk about is all the charity work he does. I’ve played in his Celebrity Basketball Game a few times and it brings out the stars and the fans for a great cause. 

One of the best cats to step into the ring. Shane Mosley use throw dem thangs, those hands. This picture was taken at one of my Phat Tuesdays shows when I brought it to downtown LA. This cat held multiple world championships in three different weight classes. I’m glad he loves to laugh and has a good sense of humor. I got jokes but he has a hook that would knock the the snot outta me. His punchlines hit harder than mine. 

Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin is a multiple winner of world championships. I’m even sure if he speaks English. I’m just glad “can I have a picture” motion is a universal language. This flick was taken in NY at Maddison Square Garden before one of his fights. This was my second actually meeting him. 

Meeting Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini was dope. I’m a boxing fan so this was a great experience. He’s a fan of comedy and came to The Hollywood Improv one night and I had to not only meet him and get a picture, but I gifted him one of my shirts. He was a cool and humble guy. Most boxers are. You have to be wired a certain kind of way to be a prize fighter. It’s sort of like stand-up, everyone can’t do this. 

The hometown boy. Bumped into him at the St. Louis airport a fews years back. He’s definitely made The Lou proud to call him the homey. 

Another humble boxer until its fight night. Then you quickly respect them hands. A good dude and a great fighter. 

Met Antonio at one of my comedy shows in Tampa. It was a pleasure. I’m a boxing fan so it was bomb. His energy was dope. Another humble cat until he gets in that ring and the switch is flipped and all hell breaks loose. A gladiator in the squared circle. People expect boxers to be these aggressive beasts but they are professionals and save it for the ring. 

James used to come to The Comedy Store for Phat Tuesdays. Thats where I first met him. When I’m on that stage I’m fearless but also several feet away so I hit him with a couple of jokes but he’s funny too. I ended up doing his podcast that he co-hosts with comedian Doug Williams. He was cool and I’m glad he can take a joke. 

I went to smoke a cigar at my home away from home, The King Cigar Lounge in downtown LA, and in walks non other than Lennox Lewis. The guy look like he hung his gloves up too soon. He looks like he can still lace them up and win another Championship belt. We sat and talked boxing and basketball over a few cigars and drinks. 

Had the pleasure of meeting double W after one of my shows at the Tampa Improv a few years back. It’s fun to see these professional prize fighters come and enjoy a night of laughter. They have great sense of humors too. It’s a good balance for them. I still am amazed that these guys are just as big of fans of my work as I am there’s. I use punches and I use punchlines. It’s a brotherhood. 

You never know which T.O. is going to show up. He’s NFL Hall of Famer who I think is mis-understood at times. A cat that came from humble beginnings and made it to the Hall of Fame. T.O. He’s a huge fan of comedy and used to come to Phat Tuesdays. Participated in my brother’s Celebrity Basketball game in. St. Louis. Currently hosts a podcast with Mathew Hatchett called “Get Yo Popcorn Ready. “

I first met this cat at a Laker game in the Chairman’s Room at Half-Time. This was before he played for the Rams. I was shocked that he knew who I was. Then he became a Ram and then Super Bowl Champion and I’m sure Canton, OH is next. This picture was taken right after the Rams won the 2022 NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl.

Two time Super Bowl Champion Mr. Miller was in full party mode when this picture was snapped. He’s definitely going to get that call from Canton for the Hall. One of the fiercest but nicest guys you’d want to meet. A Super Bowl Champion and Hall Of Famer, Derrick took some time out to let me snap a flick with him. This was taken in Miami in the media center during Super Bowl ? 

One of the best to have ever done it at that position. He’s the last Cowboy Quarterback to has been to the Super Bowl. He’s dome it 3 times and the “How Bout Dem Cowboys” haven’t been back since. This guy went from stocking grocery store shelves to stocking Super Bowl trophies, Rings and MVPs. The Quarter Back for “The Greatest Show On Turf”, Kurt was one of the greatest success stories that I’ve seen. His faith in GOD and support from his family will bring a tear to your eye. This NFL Hall Of Famer is testimony that keeping the faith pays off. This flick was taken at the NFL Network. 

“The Greatest Show On Turf” was some of my happiest years as a Rams fan. This cat is not only destined for the Hall Of Fame, he’s been in the conversation of being probably part of the best Wide Receiver Duo’s in NFL history. He also has the best first name after the name GUY. It’s even spelled the same way. He always supported my shows when I’m in Raleigh, NC. Super cool cat. 

This future NBA Hall Of Famer and 4 time NBA Champion was at the Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock concert in San Francisco at Chase Arena where the Golden State Warriors play. This cat plays the game with the intensity you’d want every player to have. He was there with a few other Warrior players. I had to flick it up with someone who plays the game to win and never takes a play off. He was mad cool.

This silent assassin is a two time NBA Champion and future Hall Of Famer as well as a 3 time Olympic Gold Metalist. I first saw him outside of a basketball game at a Cowboys vs Redskins game in Dallas. I got a chance to get a flick with him in Cleveland when the Golden State Warriors played the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA FINALS. 

I've been knowing COACH JACKSON  for years. He used to come to PHAT TUESDAYS when he was a player with the LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS. EVERY TIME a coaching position comes up with the LAKERS I TEXT him and say "COME COACH" His response is ALWAYS the same; "They got my number".
