GOD has BLESSED me to have had a BRUSH with LEGENDS to be inspired and learn from them not just fr a photo opp. MY definition is someone who have taken the gift that GOD gave them ad used it to serve HIM and others. Someone who has moved the culture and humanity forward. Someone who not only understood the assignment, but left a legacy for others to follow. A person who long after they are gone their impact and footprint on this earth in this life will live forever. I am humbled by GOD's blessings to have had me meet them. In NO particular order, this is who GOD put in my path.

ROBERTA MCWOODS

LT. COL. RAMON TORRY

MR & MRS. TORRY

My big sis is great. She’s the family manager. Her achievements in her career as well a her life and as a mother, to say inspiring would be an understatement. I followed in her footsteps when it came to running track. She has achieved and won at every stage of her life. In a lot of ways we are just a like. Her faith in GOD inspires me everyday.

LT. COL. RAMON TORRY

JOE TORRY

CHRISTINA GOVAN

LT. COL. RAMON TORRY

My other big brother. Joe played high school football, wrestled, and was in the band. Guess who did those 3 things as well, me. Joe is brave. He as a big heart and an even bigger mouth. Lol. Joe is sure of himself and the first to enter the entertainment industry professionally. He started doing comedy in St. Louis and was the second to move to LA. He’s an actor, and a comedy legend

CHRISTINA GOVAN

CHRISTINA GOVAN

CHRISTINA GOVAN

The numero uno. She’s the first born and has the heart of gold. A great big sister and has an even bigger sense of humor. Cookie, as we call her is a gifted writer. She’s creative and a great story teller. Those two things I love to do. She’s my hero.

MALAIKA TORRY

CHRISTINA GOVAN

CHRISTINA GOVAN

Yes. Little sisters can be hero’s too. Malaika is my younger sister and very talented. She actually started acting before even Joe and I when she was in high school. She went on to continue her acting as well as writing and producing in college. She’s won awards and she’s humble about it, but she is great. She’s a big supporter of my career. She’s also a great mother of three daughters. I salute her.

The second richest Black man / Couple in America. The owner of Worldwide Technologies which is based in St. Louis. He and my father attended the same church. My dad being the beacon of light he was, befriended Mr. & Mrs Steward and the Stewards treated him like family. He’s my hero not just because of his wealth, but as a Black man who achieved his status while being one of the nicest people.

BARRACK OBAMA

mr & mrs dave stewart

mr & mrs dave stewart

I met him at a fundraiser I stepped in at the last minute to host for comedian Tommy Davidson who fell ill. At the time, Mr. Obama was running for Senator in Illinois and needed some campaign funds. He arrived with Chris Tucker. He was a cool and smooth dude. I had no clue who he was, but I decided to keep his campaign sticker not knowing that he would go on to become the POTUS.

CLARENCE AVANT

mr & mrs dave stewart

CLARENCE AVANT

I met Mr. Avant only once. That was at the premier oof his documentary “The Black Godfather” I identified with him because GOD he and I the same assignment and gift. To be connectors. To connect people who needed to know each other. That’s what I love doing and this is who Mr. Avant was. He was funny. Honest. Confident. Blunt but also kind. He was a treasure.

jim brown

MUHAMMAD ALI

CLARENCE AVANT

I was not old enough to see the great Jim Brown play in the National Football League, but I felt like I was there the way my father would describe him. I enjoy his movies and football highlights. I finally met him in person and his presence and energy werr strong. He was an activist and great lacrosse player. I first met him at a function he had at his home in Hollywood for leaders. I was fortunate to be invited.

MUHAMMAD ALI

MUHAMMAD ALI

MUHAMMAD ALI

The Greatest of All Time. If you would have told me 40 years ago that I would meet the boxer I watch fight after fight with my dad I would have called you a liar and spit in your face. I remember when the movie “The Greatest” came out and my dad taking us to the movie theater to see it. To have met him was one of the highlights of my life. Salute KING!

tom joyner

MUHAMMAD ALI

MUHAMMAD ALI

They Fly Jock. Not only did I have the pleasure of being a guest on his nationally syndicated radio show and perform non The Fantastic Voyage, I had the distinct pleasure of being apart of the legendary TOM JOYNER MORNNG SHOW, for the last two years of his career. Tom is a Legend. The greatest morning show ever. Not only did it wake you up, it was an institution.

STEVIE WONDER

LOU GOSSETT JR.

LOU GOSSETT JR.

A living legend. Don’t sleep on Stevie, he is more than just a musician, Stevie got jokes. I was doing an interview soon the radio station he owns in Los Angeles, KJLH and he was in London listening to the show. (Super Bionic Ears I guess), anyway he called into the station to give me a joke. I got a joke from Stevie Wonder. He has 25 Grammy’s and in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and he gave me a joke.

LOU GOSSETT JR.

LOU GOSSETT JR.

LOU GOSSETT JR.

What a great talent and Black man. What he stood for as a Black man and the roles he chose and the choices as an actor he made is admirable. Mr Gossett was definitely one of the finest actors of our generation. This picture was taken in downtown Los Angeles at city hall.

QUINCEY JONES

LOU GOSSETT JR.

MAXWELL / JILL SCOTT

Mr. Jones came to Phat Tuesdays to look at a White up and coming comedian that he was developing a show for. That comic was Gary Owen. I met the 28 Grammy Award winning Quincy Jones came backstage and started telling me about how raggedy St. Louis was. He said his aunt used. To manage a hotel there. He also told me that Frank Sinatra was in love with Billie Holiday and want to marry her.

MAXWELL / JILL SCOTT

MAXWELL / JILL SCOTT

MAXWELL / JILL SCOTT

In 2010 I had the pleasure of touring with multiple Grammy Award winning artists Maxwell and Jill Scott. This tour was FIRE. I had a front row seat every night for two of the most incredible recording artist of my generation. We played in arenas where NBA and NHL teams played. It was an incredible experience one that I will say a highlight of my comedy career.

PRINCE

MAXWELL / JILL SCOTT

ROBERT GLASPER

The 7 time Grammy Award winning Artist parked his big purple tour bus curbside of The Comedy Store and shimmied his ass into Phat Tuesdays and put my female staff in Heaven. The women in the audience that night was turning their heads toward him like they were a baseball pitcher looking at first base. Royalty was in the house that night.

ROBERT GLASPER

MAXWELL / JILL SCOTT

ROBERT GLASPER

I met Rob on the Maxwell / Jill Scott tour. He was the Music Director for Maxwell. This multi Grammy Award wining Producer / Musician is as funny as he is musically talented. We met and vibed right away. He had jokes, I had jokes and a brotherhood and a bond was born . Over the years we’ve supported each other’s careers and we will soon one day collaborate on some comedy / music shit.

RON ISLEY

BRYAN MICHAEL COX

BRYAN MICHAEL COX

Ron Isley. I had the pasture of opening up for Mr. Isley in Chicago. What a legend. I grew up on this music and to share the same stage with the multi Grammy Award winning artist was another highlight of my comedy career. This was epic. This was one of those mile stones that you check off on your comedy bucket list.

BRYAN MICHAEL COX

BRYAN MICHAEL COX

BRYAN MICHAEL COX

This 7 time Grammy Award winning popped up at my Phat Tuesdays show in New Orleans at Essence Festival. It was the first time that I met this talented brother. Comedians and Musicians are both creatives and the there’s a bond so I felt the brotherhood right away

BILLY PRESTON

BRYAN MICHAEL COX

tisha Campbell

Billy Preston is also known as the “5th” Beatle. As a young phenom gifted abundantly with the piano and organ, he toured with the legendary Beatles. I had the pleasure of working with him o on the sitcom "Good News" where he played the organ. He had stories about. his days with The Beatles.

tisha Campbell

tisha Campbell

tisha Campbell

What a talent. I was a fan of the Martin show like everyone else in the 90’s. But after working on the show as a production assistant, a stand in, an actor and having the pleasure of writing an episode I became an even bigger fan. She always treated me like family. My greatest pleasure was acting working opposite her in a play called “By Any Means Necessary”. Working with such a talented actress allowed me to step my skills up.

JANET JACKSON

tisha Campbell

JANET JACKSON

I met the 11 time Grammy Award winning Janet the day Bill Clinton got elected into office the first time. I went to the Columbia pictures lot where they were doing a re-shoot on “Poetic Justice”. My bother & I ran into Tupac on the way. Janet was in her tailer and we were told to come in. There she was. For a 23 yr old boy just moving to LA, that was like being in Heaven. She even remembered my name.

ED WEINBERGER

tisha Campbell

JANET JACKSON

“GOOD NEWS” was Guy Torry’s first casting as a series regular. The show was created by the legendary TV producer ED. WEINBERGER. Mr WEINBERGER created shows like: “TAXI” , “MARY TYLER MOORE”, “THE COSBY SHOW", “AMEN” , “DEAR JOHN” , “SPARKS” and “GOOD NEWS”. He saw Guy at Phat Tuesdays and offered him a guest appearance on "Sparks".

richard pryor

MARTIN LAWRENCE

richard pryor

Of course I listened to his albums that my dad had. As a child I did not know what to call this form of entertainment. I didn’t see it as a career path. But once I entered the genre, I fell in love with his comedic style. I would have never thought that I would meet him let alone have him come and see me perform at The Comedy Store for several of my Phat Tuesdays shows.

EDDIE MURPHY

MARTIN LAWRENCE

richard pryor

I first met Mr. Murphy in. 1992-1993 at Prince’s club in downtown Los Angeles named Glam Slam. I couldn’t believe it. That’s thee Eddie Murphy. He IS comedy. He would come to PHAT TUESDAYS a few times and check out the up and coming comics. I later had the BLESSING of be. Casted on one of the GREATEST comedy movies of ALL TIME named “LIFE”. Shut your MOUTH.

MARTIN LAWRENCE

MARTIN LAWRENCE

MARTIN LAWRENCE

I first met Martin Lawrence on the set of his sitcom in 1992. My brother Joe had taken me. Both Joe and Martin were the keys that started my comedy engine. I went on to work on the sitcom as a production assistant, a stand in, an actor and then co-write an episode that was produced and air. His hosting of Def Comedy Jam is what inspired me to do stand up a long with seeing Joe doing it too. Hero & legend.

DICK GREGORY

GEORGE WALLACE

MARTIN LAWRENCE

LEGEND. I loved his comedic mind. How he approached comedy. I patterned being political after him. The only DICK I was in love with.

He was also from St. Louis and attended the same high school as my dad. He ran track like I did, I am HIM. I met him through his best friend the great Ed. Weinberger. We were both attending a bahmisfa party for one of Ed’s sons. He is one of my comic HEROES. .

GEORGE WALLACE

GEORGE WALLACE

GEORGE WALLACE

This dude has been doing comedy longer that ANYONE. He’s done it all. Seen it all and said it all. What can you not say about Mr. Wallace! He’s worked with every relevant comedian that ever even mattered. PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE and he is STILL funny and very relevant. He is a comedy savant. I’ve worked with him and studied him since the beginning of my career.

SINBAD

GEORGE WALLACE

GEORGE WALLACE

One of the nicest, funniest and most liked comedians ever. Sinbad is just naturally funny, He’s clever and quick witted. I met him a few times but had the pleasure of sitting and talking to him on a plane ride an he dropped so much game on me about comedy, it furthered my respect and admiration for this comedic genius. Even while he is recovering from having a stroke, he’s STILL funny.

JENNIFER LEWIS

BILLY DEE WILLIAMS

BILLY DEE WILLIAMS

What can I say. This actress has been killing the game for a while. I am proud to say that she’s a fellow St. Louisan. I haven’t had the pleasure of working with her yet, but we’ve met several times. A joy to be around and a natural at being funny. Her TV and screen work is effortless.

BILLY DEE WILLIAMS

BILLY DEE WILLIAMS

BILLY DEE WILLIAMS

Meeting this guy was epic. Like Richard Roundtree, Mr. Willliams was one of the coolest actors of his generation. Both were women’s heart throbs, but to Black men they were hero’s. They either got their man, as in. Nabbed the bad guy or got the girl. Most times both. Had a great conversation with Mr. Williams about acting. Found out that he hates auditioning just as much as I did.

BE BE WINANS

BILLY DEE WILLIAMS

BE BE WINANS

I’m a huge fan of his family and their GOD given gifts. I had the pleasure of working with his sister CeCe on the sitcom ‘Good News”, and the pleasure meeting Bee Bee on the set on a television production I was working on. Their music have uplifted people for decades and to see how cool he is, was dope.

brandY

FAITH EVANS

BE BE WINANS

This R & B singer has won 7 American Music Awards and 1 Grammy. Brandy is the multi-talented actress / singer that is still putting in great work today. I had the pleasure of meeting her when I was punch up writer and part-time audience warm-up guy on her hit sitcom Moesha. She was always kind and pleasant and great to work with. Salute.

T BOZ

FAITH EVANS

FAITH EVANS

What about your friends. I was always a fan of TLC and had the pleasure of working with the 4 time Grammy winner, T-BOZ during her charity event at The Grammy Museum at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. She had a Sickle Cell foundation that brings awareness to the disease. I was fortunate enough to be a part of a concert to raise funds for it.

FAITH EVANS

FAITH EVANS

FAITH EVANS

One of the most beautiful voices of this generation. Natural. Strong and pure is how to describe her vocal talent. I had the pleasure of working with this Grammy winner during T Boz’s charity event at The Grammy Museum at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. This picture was taken a one of my Phat Tuesdays 2.0 shows also in at LA Live.

PAUL MOONEY

DAVE CHAPPELLE

DAVE CHAPPELLE

HERO. LEGEND. Mr Mooney was a comedian, writer, actor and genius. He wrote for the legendary Richard Pryor as well as “The Richard Pryor Show”. He has some of the funniest comedy albums ever. He wrote for the ICONIC show “In Living Color”. I met him at lot of The Comedy Store and called me Jim Belushi. He said I was just waiting for my brother Joe to die so I could become famous. LOL LOL LOL!

DAVE CHAPPELLE

DAVE CHAPPELLE

DAVE CHAPPELLE

Dave Chappelle continues to be that guy. That guy that just when you thought he couldn’t find anymore funny, he found it. Met several years ago as well as worked together and had the pleasure of having him perform at PHAT TUESDAYS and appear in the docu-series. We are planning on joining forces and working on a project or two together. He continue to raise the bar.

CHRIS ROCK

DAVE CHAPPELLE

CEDRIC "THE ENTERTAINER"

I met Chris Rock in ’93 in Atlanta sitting in the back of The Comedy Act Theatre on Peach Tree. I went on to study his style and gravitated toward his political rants. His ability to make his point of view relatable is part of his genius. To make funny what a lot of people are thinking is legendary. One piece of advice he gave me was never get a hook, because when you hook goes, so do you.

CEDRIC "THE ENTERTAINER"

CEDRIC "THE ENTERTAINER"

CEDRIC "THE ENTERTAINER"

I used watch Cedric do comedy in St. Louis even before I started doing stand-up. I actually moved to Los Angeles before Cedric. But Cedric was calculated. Smart. Career well thought out. He was a favorite at Phat Tuesdays as well in the docs-series. We worked together on” The Kings Of Comedy Tour” where I learned a ton of comic knowledge. .

STEVE HARVEY

CEDRIC "THE ENTERTAINER"

STEVE HARVEY

Steve has always been solid with me. Always kept it a buck. Traveling on the “Kings Of Comedy” tour was like a boot camp comedy class. I was inspired and learned so much from Ced, Bernie and Steve. DL had not joined the tour until I left. I learned how to perform and dress and leave it all on the stage. I learned the difference of having just jokes versus having an act. I grew up as a comic on that tour.

BERNIE MAC

CEDRIC "THE ENTERTAINER"

STEVE HARVEY

Bernie and I spent a lot of time hanging out. We were both shooting the movie “Life” the same time we were both on the “Kings” tour.

The gems he was dropping on me as an actor and a comic were priceless. The Chicago Bulls ruled the NBA at the time and me being a Lakers fan, The Mac Man drove me like an F1 race car. He let me have it. I first smoked a cigar with Bernie as my teacher.

JOHN WITHERSPOON

JOHN WITHERSPOON

JOHN WITHERSPOON

“Spoon is what everyone called him. A true comic genius. The flavor and color he brought to roles were legendary. John was naturally funny. A former fashion turned comedian and actor was great to be around. I had the pleasure of working with him in a film called “Ride”. Watching what he did with the words in the script was like a master class of dialogue. John, you are missed sir.

TINA GRAHAM

JOHN WITHERSPOON

JOHN WITHERSPOON

Tina was / Is the Godmother of comedy. A comedy promoter that let more comics sleep on her couch than the casting one. She would allow struggling comedians a spot on her couch while they were in town finding gigs. This was huge because it was NY City where hotels are higher than 10 Crackheads. She put a lot of comedians on and should be celebrated.

RICKY HARRIS

JOHN WITHERSPOON

RICKY HARRIS

Rest in Peace my guy. Ricky was the first comic to bring me on stage. When started on September 10, 1992 in Southern California, Rick was the host. He seen me die on stage the death of 1000 dogs. He took the stage after me and did a whole HILARIOUS 10 minute set on me BOOMBING! It was funny. It was necessary and it helped me go back to the lab get better.

ERVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON

ERVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON

ERVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON

MAGIC JOHNSON

I am a fan of Erving “Magic” Johnson and Erving “Magic” Johnson was a fan of Phat Tuesdays. He was a frequent guest and had Guy Torry curate his comedy for his last Annual Mid Summer’s Nights weekend. Magic is the reason Why I’m a Laker fan. He’s a Hall Of Famer, MVP, 5 time NBA Champion, Olympic GOLD medalist and I would consider a friend. Great business man and funny dude.

KOBE BRYANT

ERVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON

ERVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON

Kobe Bean Bryant. Man what a guy. He attended Phat Tuesdays before he was even old enough to drink. He didn’t, but we had to sneak him in the back because he was under age. He was always kind and gracious when I’d see him. His Mamba mentality and work ethic is what I really took from him the most. He loved the gift GOD gave him and sacrificed so much to be the best as the sport he played.

SHAQUILLE O'NEAL

ERVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON

SHAQUILLE O'NEAL

Shaq is a big kid. I mean that in the nicest way. Before he even became a Laker, when he would be in town for games against the Lakers or Clippers, he made his way to Phat Tuesdays. In the off season, he was there almost every week. When he put his comedy roast together, he added me to the line up. When he got married with only 100 invited guests, I was on the list. When he’d have parties at his home, I was there.

GARY PAYTON

CHARLES BARKLEY

SHAQUILLE O'NEAL

I can’t remember when I met “The Glove”. I was a fan of Gary’s basketball skills but not of him. He used to DESTROY my Lakers when ever he’d play them and my petty ass didn’t like that. But once I got to know him, man this dude with all the greatness he possesses, he’s as down to earth as an earth worm. GP “The Glove”. NBA Champion, Hall Of Famer. Olympic Gold medalist and currenr BIG 3 Basketball  Champion in Ice Cube's league. But he's also just all around cool ass dude.

CHARLES BARKLEY

CHARLES BARKLEY

CHARLES BARKLEY

Hall Of Famer. Olympic God Medalist. Legend. I only met Mr. Barkley one time. I knew he had known my brother, but had no idea if he had seen my work or would even know who I was. Well he did. Even took a picture before he had to go and broadcast. Although he was never a Laker, he was one of my favorite players to watch and now he’s one of my favorite commentaters and desk persons to listen to.

MOSES MALONE

CHARLES BARKLEY

CHARLES BARKLEY

I didn’t like this dude growing up. He had the infamous quote during the 1983 NBA FINALS saying that they were going to sweep my Lakers. “Fo Fo Fo” (4-4-4) and you know what, He backed it up. When I met him that I forgave him. One of the nicest guys ever. He attended every show anywhere that I had in Houston. The Improv, The Toyota Center, The Red Cat. He was there. He even attended my wedding. Salute.

julius "dr j" erving

julius "dr j" erving

julius "dr j" erving

Man I was NOT a Dr. J fan. I couldn’t be. I’m a Lakers fan. But because I am a fan of basketball I can’t hate on greatness. Mr Irving used to kill the Lakers on the court. I had the pleasure of meeting this basketball Hall of Famer twice. The first time was at LA Live during the ESPY’s and then again in 2023 at the Gary Payton Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament. The Dr. is as cool as advertised.

CHARLES OAKLEY

julius "dr j" erving

julius "dr j" erving

Big Oak. The enforcer. Charles was a necessary piece on an NBA team. A guy that did all the dirty work and protect your star player. Block Shots. Grab rebounds. Score. Set Picks and intimidate opponents who tried to bully his teammates. As great as he was a a player, he was even better cook. Sometimes taking over restaurant kitchens and whipping up a professional chef like meal.

TYRON LUE

julius "dr j" erving

brian shaw

Met Ty Lue at Phat Tuesdays. I under estimated his size because I was used to seeing him on TV with the other players in the NBA. I invited his short ass up son stage and quickly realized she’s noon shoot at all. We’ve been cool ever since. He’s a 3 time NBA Champion as a player with the Lakers and Champion as a coach. He’s one of the best coaches in the NBA and I’m sure he’s destined for the NBA Hall of Fame.

brian shaw

michael cooper

brian shaw

B Shaw is what we call him. This dude have been able to collect 3 time NBA Championships rings as a player and 2 as an assistant coach with multiple teams. B Shaw was not only gifted as a player and a coach, the cat burn. If you have to tasted his fish fry, you are missing out on some fish that will make you slap yo’ mama. This pic was taken at Gary Payton’s Celebrity Golf Tournament in The Bay.

michael cooper

Mr. Defense. Coop-a-loop. These were a couple of nick names he was called doing his “Show Time” era with the Los Angeles Lakers. This 5 time NBA Champion and NBA Hall Of Famer played with the greatest point guard of all time, Ervin “Magic” Johnson. Ran into Mike a Laker game and had to capture on of my child hood hero’s.

MICHAEL IRVIN

“Limo’s - Hoe’s - And Papa Dueax “ That The Play Maker’s favorite thing to do on the weekends in Dallas when he was with the Cowboys. One of the greatest WR’s that made it to the NFL Hall Of Fame. This picture was taken in downtown Los Angeles in 2021 during Super Bowl LVI weekend.

REGINA KING

CISLEY TYSON

My sister from another mister. Regina is dope. As a talent and person. We are brother and sister. We have kicked several times. If cool AF had a face, it would be Regina’s. I’ve watched her work as an actress and saw why she has an Oscar, 2 Emmy’s and an Image Award. If they gave out awards for being down to earth, she’d win those too. She also can burn in the kitchen just as well as she directs.

CISLEY TYSON

denzel washington

CISLEY TYSON

Ms. Tyson was I my bed. Yes I said it. No disrespect, but she slept in my bed only a few short years ago. She needed a place to lay her head and my bed was available. She loved the condo building I lived in because it was clean, safe and private. She rented from me and I went elsewhere to sleep but she slept in my bed and laid her head on my pillows. Salute to this Queen.

denzel washington

Arguably one of the most diverse and greatest actors of all time. His range is as vast as the state of Montana. I met Denzel first in New York City just hanging out one night. He was a fan of Phat Tuesday’s and would come and grab some laughs.. This picture about is in St Louis at a Rams preseason game. John David was signed by the then St Louis Rams when they played the Houston Texans. Denzel was there to support his son.

I met this brother in the airport and then again at The Ha Ha Cafe comedy club. I hate I never got the chance to work with him. I feel iron would have sharpened iron. He was such a phenomenal actor. If gone too soon was a person, he would be the face. He left us with a great body of work In such a short time. Thank you for sharing your gift and being an excellent human being as well.

HALLE BERRY

It was a blessing  to work with this Oscar winner. I was cast in the production of “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge” and in the same scene has Halle. I didn’t have much dialogue but what I observed that day by watching her would stay with me through out my acting career. The little conversation I had with her off the set was cool AF. She lived off Sunset Blvd. and knew about Phat Tuesdays.

richard roundtree

richard roundtree

richard roundtree

What Black man growing up in the 70’s didn’t want to be “Shaft”? Richard Roundtree was our Black Super hero. We all wanted a short natural, a black leather jacket and a fine ass woman. Got the chance to work with him when there was an actors strike and I went out with a play. What a talented actor that I stole from. He was also a great photographer. I did a photo shoot with him it was fire.

DUSTIN HOFFMAN

DUSTIN HOFFMAN

DUSTIN HOFFMAN

GOD kept blessing me with Oscar winners. Working with Dustin a 2 time winner, in “Runaway Jury” was another master class in acting. It dope to see how he treated the crew and even the extras. He would walk on set in the morning with a boom box and donuts boppin’ and passing out donuts. It set the tone for the rest of the day in a major way. This is movie acting royalty. He was the coolest on that set.

DUSTIN HOFFMAN

Been a fan of this guy before “Good Fellas”. Having the chance to work with a talent like his was like, “I see you GOD”. I was dope. Watching his process and how the little things in a script mattered. How he knew the scenes better than the director. He saw scripts as just the guide and really lived in the moment. This was a master class in acting for me. I definitely became a better actor on that set.

GENE HACKMAN

DUSTIN HOFFMAN

GENE HACKMAN

One of the greatest actors in our generation. The range Mr. Hackman has is huge. The characters he’s been able to play and play well are vast. Having the chance to work with him on “Runaway Jury” was epic. To sit back and watch his acting without words a master class. You can say a lot with your eyes, facial expression or even with body language and Gene gave us all of that. Salute to a great actor.

ed NORTON

ROBERT LOGIA

GENE HACKMAN

Working with him in American History X” was an acting glass. The guy is just good. The method to his madness may be questionable, but the results are solid. My natural ability and GOD given gift pushed him and his discipline and training and knowledge for the craft pushed me. It was great working with him. I learned a lot. Ed Norton. One of the most talented actor of our generation.

JOE MORTON

ROBERT LOGIA

ROBERT LOGIA

Mr. Morton is a phenomenal actor. Getting the chance to work with him was like DAMN! He’s was very professional, well pre-pared and a treat to watch work. I definitely benefited from working with him and raised my level of energy to compliment what he brought to the scene. He kept me on my toes. It was an honor to work with him. This is a scene from “The X Files”.

“Red Rum” episode.

DL HUGHLEY

ROBIN WILLIAMS

GEORGE LOPEZ

DL has always been at the right place at the right time whenever I need some comedy advice. Without me even saying anything of what I need advice on, just in conversation he drops gems. A master comedy craftsman that has come through for me when ever I needed him for my Phat Tuesdays 2.0 shows in downtown LA.

GEORGE LOPEZ

ROBIN WILLIAMS

GEORGE LOPEZ

I met George in Sacramento in the late 90’s at the Punchline Comedy Club. He was hilarious. Funny. He was a technician at comedy. He had his jokes perfectly written down in his joke book with details and notes. I never seen anything like that at the time. His story telling and animated style was one to take in and study. It was not only entertaining to the audience, but enjoyable for comedians.

ROBIN WILLIAMS

ROBIN WILLIAMS

ROBIN WILLIAMS

One of the kings of improv, animated and physical comedy. I only met him when he did a show to raise money to put a new roof on The Comedy Store. It was a pleasure to watch him work. He had his note pad on stage and was going to work. To see his crowd work was like a clinic. His comedic mind worked so fast and was on point. To see the anticipation soon the faces of the audience was priceless.

KEVIN HART

KATT WILLIAMS

ROBIN WILLIAMS

Kevin has continued the “Rock Star” comedy persona. Eddie Murphy is the first to take comedy to that level and then The Kings of Comedy picked up where Eddie left off. Kevin has taken that, and pumped it full of steroids and has broken records. He’s the hardest working comedian in Hollywood and I don’t see him slowing down……EVER. Salute to him for keeping the bar raised. .

KATT WILLIAMS

KATT WILLIAMS

KATT WILLIAMS

Katt definitely has nine lives. His acting and comedy career has seemed to be stalled, but this comedic genius keeps slapping us in the face with new life. Just when you thought he was quiet, he becomes the loudest voice in the room. A crowd favorite at PHAT TUESDAYS. Katt is another “Rock Star” comedian who has taken comedy to great heights. Those lives just keep coming.

NICK CANNON

KATT WILLIAMS

KATT WILLIAMS

This kid. Yes even though he has more kids than 4 NBA players, I still see the kid that first came to PHAT TUESDAYS when he was a teenager and just study and execute the plans he put together. As talented as he is, he’s humble and always willing to put people on. It was great to have him a part of the Phat Tuesdays docu-series.

JAMIE FOXX

DAMON WAYANS

JAMIE FOXX

The ever so multi-talented Jamie has damn near done it all. Comedy Specials, Sitcoms, Movies, Music, Sketch Comedy, and even pickle ball. The guy has succeeded in every genre he’s touched. I’ve been knowing him for years and first worked with him on the “Shaq All-Star Comedy Roast” where he KILLED that too. Just when you thought he was gone for good, POP goes the Jamie.

THE WAYANS

DAMON WAYANS

JAMIE FOXX

Shawn and Marlon Wayans put me in my first film, “Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood.” Ok let me catch my breath. These guy and the rest Wayans family don’t get the credit they deserve for their contributions to the industry and the Black community. I salute them and am forever grateful for the opportunities they provided for me.

DAMON WAYANS

DAMON WAYANS

LAVELLE CRAWFORD

When I first saw Damon Wayans on the “Robert Townsends Partners In Crime” doing stand Up I was like; “This dude is a comic genius”. I wasn’t even doing or even thinking about doing stand-up comedy back then. To watch him work live and craft bits is something I recommend every aspiring comedian does.

LAVELLE CRAWFORD

LAVELLE CRAWFORD

LAVELLE CRAWFORD

What can I say. Not only is he a St. Louis legend, but a comedy legend. I used to watch this comedic genius perform in St. Louis long before I even thought about doing stand up. Lavell continues to slay audiences and stay relevant. Lavell has been mentor and big bro from the start of my career as well as a Phat Tuesdays alumni.

LUNELL

LAVELLE CRAWFORD

CHRIS TUCKER

This queen of the comedy game is a legend. Stage, TV, Film and podcasts. I met her in the early 90’s and she is having a phenomenal career. We’ve been friends since then whenever I need her for any project, she does not hesitate to pick up the phone and say yes. I love her and she her career is a testament of her talent and hard work. t

CHRIS TUCKER

LAVELLE CRAWFORD

CHRIS TUCKER

Chris Tucker wow. I used to see this cat pulling up to comedy clubs in LA in the early 90’s in a Volkswagen Jetta with one headlight. He was destroying audiences all over the city. His rise to the top may seem over-night, but he grinned and worked hard to get to where he is. Chris took his brand of comedy to the big screen and never looked back.

RODNEY DANGEFIELD

RODNEY DANGEFIELD

RODNEY DANGEFIELD

King of the one-liners. I was always a fan. When I was studying the game, he was one of the guys that I observed through VHS tapes to see how. He crafted his one-liners. Then I 1999, I was invited to the legendary Friars Club for a roast, I met Mr. Dangerfield. A week prior I appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Mr. Dangerfield says; “Hey, good job on Jay’s show. Good stuff kid.” WOW!

george carlin

RODNEY DANGEFIELD

RODNEY DANGEFIELD

Mr Carlin was one that I studies extensively. Like Chris Rock, he too had a strong political point of view mixed with relatable and relevant everyday life observations. He was fearless. Funny. Unfiltered and unbelievable. He’s on the comedy Mount Rushmore for real. I met him in the late 90’s at the Comedy Central Comedy Awards where he was being honored and I was honored to meet him.

MILTON BEARLE

RODNEY DANGEFIELD

MILTON BEARLE

Uncle Milty is another guy I studied and read up on. When I attended that same Friars Club roast when I Rodney Dangerfield, I was introduced to him my my cast mate from the hour action drama show “The Strip”, Joe Vitterri, Milton responded: “Hey you’re that kid that was on Leno the other night. I loved it.” WOW. Two legends in one night who actually knew who I was.

EDDIE GRIFFIN

MICHAEL COLYER

MILTON BEARLE

Another comedy big brother of mine. Eddie took me son tour with him and it was like a master class. His story telling and wit was great. His energy on stage and knowledge of almost any subject was superior. The first time I drank and became a fan of PORT wine was because of Eddie. I used to watch him at The Comedy Store on “Pot Luck” night when he would do guest spots was a class.

MICHAEL COLYER

MICHAEL COLYER

MICHAEL COLYER

Michael Colyer is a comedian like non other. His style and energy is unmatched. A Native of Chicago, Mike’s legendary debut was on HBO when he taped his comedy special on Venice Beach in Venice, Ca. No one had done any even close to that before. Micheal still tours today and his energy is still as high as it was when he came into the game. He’s a friend, mentor and a legend.

ARSENIO HALL

MICHAEL COLYER

MICHAEL COLYER

Arsenio is that dude. One of the best late night talk shows in history. He’s been great at everything he touches. Stand-Up, Acting, characters and talk show hosting. I had the honor of hosting a tribute show to “The Arsenio Hall” for VH1. Meeting him dope. He’d come to Phat Tuesdays and we would exchange mama jokes from the stage and audience. It was a fun damn time.

JALEEL WHITE

BOOTSIE COLLINS

BOOTSIE COLLINS

A sitcom LEGEND. Jaleel made television history with his portrayal of a fictitious character by the name of Steve Erkle. Of I was a fan of the show, but once I moved to LA one of my early gigs was being “A prop that eats” (An Extra) on the hit sitcom, “Family Matters”. It was the cafeteria food fight episode. We went on to meet several years later and became friends. This was a Dave Chappelle summer camp weekend.

BOOTSIE COLLINS

BOOTSIE COLLINS

BOOTSIE COLLINS

The man who brought the FUNK to James Brown’s band back in the day. I met Boosie in Las Vegas at the Steve Harvey Hoodie Awards. Boots has had hits that still are peoples rotation today.  Hits like: "I RATHER BE WITH YOU",  "GET UP OFFA THAT THANG," and several more.

GEORGE CLINTON

BOOTSIE COLLINS

GEORGE CLINTON

The King of Funkadelic. Never in a million years did I think I would ever be hanging with George Clinton. Partied to his songs for years. One night in HOLLYWOOD, he was honored and I was not going to miss an opportunity to meet the Legend. What a cool dude and experience. I then met him again in my hood of Downtown LA when he performed at LA Live.

dana dane

THE WHISPERS

GEORGE CLINTON

Cinderfella Dana Dane. Yes one of the legends of Hip Hop and brought his own style and point of view in HIP HOP that was timeless. Crazy to get a chance to talk to and even hang out with one of the legends of HIP HOP. Mutual respect for what we have both achieved in our careers.

THE WHISPERS

THE WHISPERS

THE WHISPERS

I have been a fan of this R & B group since the 80’s. I can’t count the number of women that I have romanced with their songs. The song writing and execution of a song did all the work. All I had to do was not FUCK it up. I have ran into these gentlemen several times in airports while we are both going to or coming from gigs.

dj dwrek

THE WHISPERS

THE WHISPERS

You’ve seen him on the hit show, NIck Cannon’s “Wild’N Out and ain clubs and stages across the country. He Deejayed one of my Phat Tuesdays Live show in downtown LA when I was celebrating Phat Tuesdays. He’s solid on that show and just a solid person though out our friendship.

STAN KRONKE

STAN KRONKE

STAN KRONKE

I know my St. Louis people won’t like this picture because he moved the Rams out of The Lou, but they moved to ME. I live in LA. Before they built the new stadium, they played at the Coliseum which is walking distance. If I flew to ST. LOUIS just to. Goo to Ram’s home games, did you think I wasn’t going to go to games that I could walk to? Now had they moved to Las Vegas, I may have been mad.

JEANE BUSS

STAN KRONKE

STAN KRONKE

Jeanie Buss. The owner and President of the Los Angeles Lakers. When Phil Jackson was the coach, he was looking to build morale for the team when Shaq and Kobe was having their beef. Phil wanted to do a team building exercise and wanted to take them to a comedy show because they loved coming to Phat Tuesdays. She called me to set up a show in Sacramento where they were playing the Kings.

ELON MUSK

STAN KRONKE

ELON MUSK

How many times do you get the chance to come across A BILLIONAIRE? Certainly don't agree with his NEW political stance, support Dumb Donald.  I went to the Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle comedy show in San Francisco and Mr. Musk was at the show. I had to get a flick. A free Tesla would have been nice, but I settled for the flick.

SNOOP DOGG

SNOOP DOGG

SNOOP DOGG

If you look up the word cool in the dictionary or Google it Snoop will pop up. I met Snoop Dogg at Phat Tuesdays. He’d come with his crew and would have a ball. I ended being in scenes with him in a movie called “Ride” in the later 90’s. He personally recommended me for His Netflix Special that he hosted, “Just Fuckin’ Around” Comedy Special. He’s also in the Phat Tuesdays docu-series.

ICE CUBE

SNOOP DOGG

SNOOP DOGG

One of the greatest writers, story tellers and MC’s in HIP HIP. I met this Rock N Roll Hall of Famers at Phat Tuesdays. He wasn’t coming there just to laugh, he was coming to scout talent for his projects. He saw Mike Epps and Michael Blackson for his “Fridays” Film franchise. I’d run into Cube several times over the next several years at Lakers games as well as The NBA Ent. Basketball League.

DR DRE

SNOOP DOGG

TOO $HORT

One of the architects of west coast HIP HOP and undoubtably one of the GREATEST music producers of all time. Who that a Jheri curl wearing black man would produce tracks that made R & B and HIP HOP artists stars. Dre was a fan of Phat Tuesdays and would =frequent the night. He even recommended Guy Torry for a new television show that was being produced. He has won 7 Grammys and was inducted to the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.

TOO $HORT

TOO $HORT

TOO $HORT

In the late 80’s my brother Joe gave me a mixed tape. In this cassette it was a rapper on there with like an 10-12 min song about curse words. I thought it was the dopest song ever. Who would have thought, that years later, I’d move to LA, get into the entertainment industry and become friends with Todd Shaw. Better know as Too $hort. He was another fan of Phat Tuesdays.

NELLY

TOO $HORT

dj quik

The homey. In 2000 during NFL Super Bowl 38 weekend, My bother and I along with Cedric The Ent., Boxing great Floyd Mayweather, the rapper Scarface and MLB great Derek Bell was playing in a celebrity basketball game at Moorhouse College. Nelly’s team gave us a demo record for the deejay to play at halftime. That record was “Country Grammar” The gym went nuts. It had not come out yet.

dj quik

TOO $HORT

dj quik

Quik. One of the dopest MC / Producers to enter the Hip Hop genre. Quik used to come hang out at my brother’s crip when I first moved to LA and lived with my big bro Joe. They’d be downstairs drinking, playing dominoes, joking and smoking weed. I’d be in my room writing or studying comedy. Quik is actually funny himself and loves comedy. He used to come to Phat Tuesdays and I’d check his shows.

METHOD MAN

METHOD MAN

I am a fan of the music and him as an actor. He came to Phat Tuesdays and that’s where my first encounter with this legendary Hip Hop artist. When I met him, he was cool AF. There’s a respect and bond between Rappers and Comedians. His flow and style is unmatched by any MC. I would catch his shows when he’s in LA and if you haven’t seen him and Redman together, then you’re not a Hip Hop fan.

the d.o.c.

METHOD MAN

METHOD MAN

One of my favorite HIP HOP albums of ALL TIME is The D.O.C. first album. The album is fire from start to finish. When he showed up at Phat Tuesdays I was like that’s what’s up. Then years later he would attend my shows at the Arlington Improv. What dope MC, writer and cat. Still to this day I rock his album. Some of the most lyrically sound songs and flow in Hip Hop history.

SCARFACE

TUPAC SHAKUR

My brother. If you don’t The Geto Boys or one of it’s members Scarface, shut your monkey ass mouf’

In discussions about HIP HIP. Scarface lyrically is beyond gifted. This flow and style is text book MC.

His ability to story tell is flawless. His humor is underrated. It’s dope to kick it with him and share stories of each others craft while smoking a cigar.

TUPAC SHAKUR

ERIK SERMAN / KEITH COWBOY / MELLE MEL

TUPAC SHAKUR

I first met Tupac on the Columbia Picture’s lot in 1992. I had just moved to LA week before and already I was meeting a person who I didn’t know would the impact on the culture that Tupac has.

He was always encouraging me to make sure I got out of my brother Joe’s shadow and create my own lane.

ERIK SERMAN / KEITH COWBOY / MELLE MEL

She looks like a really cool and down to earth person that would be cool to hang out with. Welp, you’re right. I only met this Grammy winner a handful of times, and both times she was dope. Great energy and vibes. This picture was taken in my hood of downtown Los Angeles at “The Novo” when she performed on the same show as Brandy. Both KILLED IT.

RAKIM

CHRIS "KID" REID

CHRIS "KID" REID

Rakim The God is right. One of my top 5 favorite Hip Hop artists. Rakim was just that dude. That MC that had flow, lyrics and that swag. He said something. I work on making sure I say something every time I hit the stage for stand-up. Am I comparing his bars to my bits, HELL NO! But has he been an influence on how I write. Comedy and Hip Hop are brothers. Rapping came from comedy. When Rakim blessed our presence at Phat Tuesdays by dropping by, man that was fucking spectacular.

CHRIS "KID" REID

CHRIS "KID" REID

CHRIS "KID" REID

I am a huge Kid N Play fan. When I met them they were cool as hell. I’ve hung out with Kid several times. I often run into him at State Social, a cigar lounge on Sunset Boulevard. I really kicked it with him on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage where he won “The Sit Yo’ Ass Down” Award. It went to the person who you saw everywhere on the cruise. He was de-throned the next year by yours truly, me.

LADY OF RAGE

CHRIS "KID" REID

LADY OF RAGE

One of the Queens of Hip Hop. I met Rage when we did the movie “Ride” which we shot in Jacksonville, FL. She was great to hang and work with. A natural talent and dope MC. She’s a not non-sense but sweet person. It’s the perfect balance of I fux with you but don’t try to no BS with me. She is authentically herself. You won’t get any games with her. She’s a Hip Hop legend.

LADY OF RAGE

Of course I grew up as a fan of the 2 Grammy Award winner and Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame MC. I fortunate enough to work with him in a film called “Slow Burn”. The movie starred Ray Liotta, Mehki Phifer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Taye Diggs, myself and several more talented actors. We chopped it up on the set everyday and there was mutual respect for each others crafts. The cat is multi-talented.

MC LYTE

KID CAPRI

This ageless woman is still one of the dopest MC’s to rock the mic male of female. I’ve run intooo her a few times over the years at various places. We really got to chop it up on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage. We got a chance to chill talk and I was teaching her how to smoke cigars. She’s so dope and keeps reinventing herself.

KID CAPRI

ll cool j

KID CAPRI

The baddest DJ in the land. First met Kid in LA when the Def Comedy Jam Tour came to town. I was barely doing comedy 3 months. Ended up taping Def Jam a few years later and then joined the tour myself. Kid would get the crowds at those shows like I’ve never seen. I’m shocked that the roofs on those venues did’t blow off. Kidd was there in Detroit at the Fox Theater for my first standing ovation.

MONTELL JORDAN

EDDIE LAVERT - THE O' JAYS

RONNIE DEVOE - NEW EDITION

This is a crazy story. It’s 1995 and Mr. Jordan’s sister was a regular at Phat Tuesdays. She brought me the single to “This Is How We Do it” to the club for me to play before it was even o the radio. She experienced me playing artists songs there. Well the song became a hit and we used it for the Phat Tuesdays documentary. This pic was in DC at a then “Redskin’s” game.

FLAVOR FLAV

BIG TRAY DEEE

FLAVOR FLAV

If I had to compare my comedic style to any Hip Hop artist or group it would be Public Enemy number 1. One of my favorite Hip Hop groups in the 80’s and 90’s. Flavor Flav caught my attention because he was different. Funny and original. Several years later as I moved to LA and started. Phat Tuesdays, Flavor Flav came to the show and I couldn't believe it. I had to have him perform "911 is a Joke".

SALT

Met Talib in New York at Radio City Music Hall at a Dave Chappelle show. Was always a fan of his music and getting him made be an even bigger one. Cool cat. I met Yasim Bey as Mrs Def when we both appeared on Bill Maher’s ABC show at the time “Politically Incorrect”. I later met him also at Dave Chappelle’s comedy shows. He and Talib Kwali performed and had Radio City Music Hall jumping like a MF. It had been a while since the first time we met, but he was as cool as the other side of the pillow. Another dope MC that I had to flick up.

A University of Missouri (MIZZOU) grad, Ms. Turner is one of the best in her field. WE met and were instant brother and sister. She is a good of a person as she is a journalist. During the pandemic, she appeared in the “Comedy Kitchen” series I did live on Instagram and guided me to making a MEAN pot of Gumbo.

ISSAC BRUCE

NICSHELL TURNER

TODD GURLEY

Another member of “The Greatest Show on Turf” St. Louis Rams. This NFL Super Bowl Champion and Hall Of Famer is one of the nest to have ran a rout. He’s been a solid cat every time I met him and I still think the Bruce-Holt receiver duo was one of the top 3 WR combos in the history of the NFL.

TODD GURLEY

NICSHELL TURNER

This smooth operator on the grid iron ran the ball for the STL / LA Rams with such quickness and grace that even when he was no longer a Ram, you still rooted for him. It’s a shame he didn’t get a chance to actually WIN a Super Bowl, but definitively helped the Rams get there. Salute Bro.

JOHN SALLEY

DOMINIQUE WILKINS

JOHN SALLEY

Never really cared for John until he joined the Lakers. He won rings against us and that was why I didn’t care. Once I met him , it was all

Good. What a great guy. Actor, Radio host, comedian if he wanted to, connector, and an NBA CHAMPION. Five time NBA CHAMPION.

He was huge fan of Phat Tuesdays and helped me secure a spot in the Aspen Comedy Festival. He’s also in the my docs-series.

STEPH CURRY

DOMINIQUE WILKINS

JOHN SALLEY

Met this future NBA Hall Of Famer and 4 time NBA Champion at the Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock concert in San Francisco at Chase Arena where the Golden State Warriors play. GEORGE "ICE MAN" GERVIN

The human highlight film Dominique was any basketball fan’s treat to watch. He and my big bro Joe were friends. I met him that way. He’s an NBA Hall of Famer, Dunk Contest Champion and current analyst for the Atlanta Hawks. He’s a cool cat. Funny. Humble and a wealth of basketball knowledge. He played in the Jordan and the Bad Boy era of the NBA. This pic was All Star weekend in Los Angeles.

GEORGE "ICE MAN" GERVIN

The “Ice Man” is what they called him. Most young NBA fans in the 80’s had this Hall Famers poster on their walls. He had the smoothest finger roll shot in the game. The only thing smoother was his personality. This OG was legit. This was a Gary Payton’s golf tournament. What a good time.

OP is what they call him. OP was one of the last true centers to play the game in the paint. He played in an era of REAL centers. Malone, Shaquille, Kareem, Yao Ming, Oliver Miller, David Robinson, Ewing, Hakeem, Mutombo, and a few more. We became friends when I moved to LA. He was even a groomsman in my wedding.

Oliver Miller was a problem when he played in the NBA. His size and athleticism was hard to guard in the league. When you played against him you felt like you are in a car crash afterwards according to other players. He attended my show in Phoenix and I had to capture this moment.

LISA LESLIE

SAUDIA ROUNDTREE

BRITNEY GRINER

I’ve been a WNBA fan since its inception in 1997. When the LA Sparks picked Lisa Leslie I was even more a fan. She’s a 2 Time WNBA champion, a 4 time Olympic Gold Metalist, as well as a 2 time FIBA World Basketball Champion. Along with those she has 2 Big 3 Championships in Ice Cubes Basketball league. She’s also a Charter School owner and most of all, one cool ass, real ass chick.

I was on my way to a Clippers game. Yeah I know the Clippers. It was a free ticket and live across the street so that was a not brainer. As I was entering the arena, I happened to look up because someone was blocking the sun and it was WNBA player and two time Olympic Gold Metalist Britney Griner. I had to flick it up. I prayed and rooted for her to get out of Russia when she was arrested on some BS.

SAUDIA ROUNDTREE

SAUDIA ROUNDTREE

SAUDIA ROUNDTREE

Met her at my brother Joe’s Celebrity Basketball game in St. Louis one year. Ran into her again with her husband and child at one of the Maxwell / Jill Scott tour dates we did. She was a baller. Won an ESPY for best female basketball player and played in the ABL, the American Basketball League. It was the professional women’s basketball league before the WNBA.

“Run TMC” is what they called him and two of his other teammates when they were in The Bay with the Golden State Warriors in the late 80’s and 90’s. I met the Basketball Hall of Famer, Mr Richmond in Sacramento with the KINGS. I’m glad he didn’t stay there because he helped the Los Angeles Lakers get a ring in 2002.

JAVELLE MCGEE

MITCH RICHMOND

JAVELLE MCGEE

A player that every team could use on their team. A 3 time NBA Champion with the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers, this dude was a factor in each of those Championships rings.

He came from Championship stock. His mom Paul and Auntie Pam were OUTSTANDING players themselves at USC.

LUKA DONCIC

MITCH RICHMOND

JAVELLE MCGEE

I hate this guy. Lol. The Lakers seem to have trouble with this future NBA Champion and Hall Of Famer. He’s destine for both. His game is damn near indefensible. I had the pleasure being in Dallas for a Mavericks game and grabbed a flick.

MARSHALL FAULK

MARSHALL FAULK

Mr Farr is a NFL Super Bowl Champion with the St. Louis Rams has turned his talents to being a analyst and radio host for the now Los Angeles Rams. He’s a cool cat and is always stops to chat about the state of the Rams and just about the entertainment industry.

MARSHALL FAULK

MARSHALL FAULK

MARSHALL FAULK

Marshall was an extraordinary running back that was not only fast, but he was quick, could block and catch the ball out of the backfield. His football IQ was off the charts.Marshall called on my brother and I along with a few others to roast him for hi charity event. We became cool over the years and he's one of the smartest football players. I know. I named one oof my Fantasy Football teams after hi, "FAULK YOU"

ED REED

MARSHALL FAULK

AARON DONALD

Met this NFL Hall of Famer and Super Bowl Champion at a charity event and he was a solid cat. Then ran into him again in LA the weekend of my 50th birthday at we smoked cigars and chopped it up. He played the game the way it is supposed to be played, professionally reckless and controlled.

AARON DONALD

ERIC DICKERSON

AARON DONALD

Future first ballot Hall Of Famer but already a Hall of fame as a human. He played the game the right way and left it all non the field. A champion. An MVP and all round great guy. Came from good stock and continues to be the standard. This picture was taken when the Rams won the NFC Championship and went on the become Super Bowl champions.

ERIC DICKERSON

ERIC DICKERSON

ERIC DICKERSON

Very few ran the ball like ED. This Hall Of Famer’s running style was and still is unmatched by any one who played the game. He’s an Ambassador for the Rams and the NFL. We became friends over the years and he’s been solid. How he played the game in an era that didn’t have all the rules of today. That era was one of the purest forms of the sport. He ran hard and graceful.

RAN CARTHON

ERIC DICKERSON

ERIC DICKERSON

My man Ran. I met Ran in St. Louis on a Monday night at an NFL Monday Night football game. This is when the Rams were still in St. Louis and he was on the staff as a scout. Well the ended up in LA and our friendship grew. He would go on and work for the San Francisco 49ers and is now the General Manager of the Tennessee Titans.

KEN HAMLIN

DOUG WILLIAMS

DOUG WILLIAMS

This former NFL player and Pro-Bowler and now Cigar proprietor of the brand “The Arrival” has been a friend for while. A real cool cat who played the game of football hard but his cigars are smooth as fuck and packed with great flavor. He came to LA and helped celebrate my 50th Birthday with me and the rest of my hooligans.

DOUG WILLIAMS

DOUG WILLIAMS

DOUG WILLIAMS

The first Black Quarterback to win an NFL Super Bowl. He came from a HBCU and was the Super Bowl MVP. I never in a million years though I’d meet this NFL Hall Of Famer. It was a pleasure to have him come to a few of my comedy shows at The Improv in DC and the FunnyBone in Richmond, VA. They say never meet your hero’s, well they were wrong about this one. Super down to earth dude.

RAY LEWIS

DOUG WILLIAMS

BARRY SANDERS

NFL Super Bowl Champion and Hall of Famer. I was tapped to be a part of his celebrity charity weekend in Baltimore. For two years I got a chance to meet other Ravens and celebrities while giving back to the community. We don’t hear about these athletes contributing to the community enough. It was a honor to be a part of something great. The intensity that he played with was the same for the community.

BARRY SANDERS

BARRY SANDERS

BARRY SANDERS

Definitely one of the best to run that pig skin out of an NFL backfield, Mr Sanders ran himself all the way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a Detroit Lion. I had the pleasure of running into him at the ESPN Rose Bowl Pre-Game Tail Gate party.

RANDY MOSS

BARRY SANDERS

PAC MAN JONES

“Straight Cash homey” is what I think of when I see Randy Moss. Not to slight his incredible stats and Hall Of Fame induction. Randy was one of the most exciting players to watch line up on that gridiron. I had the pleasure of meeting in at FOX studios at FOX SPORTS.

PAC MAN JONES

BARRY SANDERS

PAC MAN JONES

Recently ran into Pac Man Jones in Atlanta. First met him at Essence Festival in New Orleans in 2022 at an NFL panel the festival had put on. He was cool as hell. He has and interesting story that should be told. He over came several obstacles which led to him getting to the NFL and they didn’t stop when he got there. One day I’m sure he’ll share his story. Perseverance and faith gets him through

Hall of Famer, World Champion and Gold Glover. When a new mall opened in downtown St. Louis, I stood in line with a few hundred others to get an autograph picture signed by non other than Ozzie Smith. I grew up in St Louis and and a Cardinals fan. I was asked to do a comedy set at Ozzie’s retirement celebration. We would go on and become friends he even attended my wedding and comedy shows.

Mr. 500 Club. Mr. Sheffield has hit more than 500 Home Runs in his baseball career and has a MLB World Series Ring. I met him through my brother Joe and he we’ve hung out a few times. Like me, we don’t smoke cigars, we are CIGAR SMOKERS. Gary even has his own line of cigars and blessed me with 2 boxes. Gary played for several teams except my St. Louis Cardinals, but I won’t hold that against him.

JAMES LOFTON - JIM PLUNKET

“Money Making Mayweather” TBE. If you’re a boxing fan then you’re a fan of Floyd. The best defensive boxer in the history of boxing.

Undefeated, Underrated and Under appreciated. He talks a big game but backs it up. What he doesn’t talk about is all the charity work he does. I’ve played in his Celebrity Basketball Game a few times and it brings out the stars and the fans for a great cause.

SHANE "SUGAR" MOSLEY

FLOYD "MONEY" MAYWEATHER

SHANE "SUGAR" MOSLEY

One of the best cats to step into the ring. Shane Mosley use throw dem thangs, those hands. This picture was taken at one of my Phat Tuesdays shows when I brought it to downtown LA. This cat held multiple world championships in three different weight classes. I’m glad he loves to laugh and has a good sense of humor. I got jokes but he has a hook that would knock the the snot outta me. His punchlines hit harder than mine.

TRIPLE G

FLOYD "MONEY" MAYWEATHER

Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin is a multiple winner of world championships. I’m even sure if he speaks English. I’m just glad “can I have a picture” motion is a universal language. This flick was taken in NY at Maddison Square Garden before one of his fights. This was my second actually meeting him.

RAY "BOOM BOOM" MANCINI

Meeting Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini was dope. I’m a boxing fan so this was a great experience. He’s a fan of comedy and came to The Hollywood Improv one night and I had to not only meet him and get a picture, but I gifted him one of my shirts. He was a cool and humble guy. Most boxers are. You have to be wired a certain kind of way to be a prize fighter. It’s sort of like stand-up, everyone can’t do this.

DEVIN ALEXANDER

RAY "BOOM BOOM" MANCINI

RAY "BOOM BOOM" MANCINI

The hometown boy. Bumped into him at the St. Louis airport a fews years back. He’s definitely made The Lou proud to call him the homey.

Another humble boxer until its fight night. Then you quickly respect them hands. A good dude and a great fighter.

ANTONIO TARVER

RAY "BOOM BOOM" MANCINI

ANTONIO TARVER

Met Antonio at one of my comedy shows in Tampa. It was a pleasure. I’m a boxing fan so it was bomb. His energy was dope. Another humble cat until he gets in that ring and the switch is flipped and all hell breaks loose. A gladiator in the squared circle. People expect boxers to be these aggressive beasts but they are professionals and save it for the ring.

JAMES TONEY

LENNOX LEWIS

ANTONIO TARVER

James used to come to The Comedy Store for Phat Tuesdays. Thats where I first met him. When I’m on that stage I’m fearless but also several feet away so I hit him with a couple of jokes but he’s funny too. I ended up doing his podcast that he co-hosts with comedian Doug Williams. He was cool and I’m glad he can take a joke.

LENNOX LEWIS

I went to smoke a cigar at my home away from home, The King Cigar Lounge in downtown LA, and in walks non other than Lennox Lewis. The guy look like he hung his gloves up too soon. He looks like he can still lace them up and win another Championship belt. We sat and talked boxing and basketball over a few cigars and drinks.

WINKY WRIGHT

Had the pleasure of meeting double W after one of my shows at the Tampa Improv a few years back. It’s fun to see these professional prize fighters come and enjoy a night of laughter. They have great sense of humors too. It’s a good balance for them. I still am amazed that these guys are just as big of fans of my work as I am there’s. I use punches and I use punchlines. It’s a brotherhood.

Not only did I have the pleasure of being a guest on his nationally syndicated radio show and perform non The Fantastic Voyage, I had the distinct pleasure of being apart of the legendary TOM JOYNER MORNNG SHOW, for the last two years of his career. To have met the guy you enjoyed watching his movies and comedy sketches and have him come see you perform , is an experience I can’t even out into words. Mr. Townsend understood his assignment and he did not disappoint the assignment giver. He’s a great talent, leader and a legend.

LARRY WILMORE

This NBA Hall of Famer, Champion and Olympic Gold Metalist, Kevin Garnet went from one of my favorite players to my most hated players back to one of my favorite players & podcast host. I’ll explain. Loved him when he played in Minnesota. Hated him when he went to Boston. Won his ring against MY Lakers. Then once I got out of my feelings he’s the type of guy I’d love on my team. Met him at Kevin Hart Studios.

RON ARTEST

KEVIN GARNETT

PAUL PIERCE

This Malice at the Palace star is one interesting cat. In a good way. I was not a Ron fan when he used to play against the Lakers. I first met him at A Lakers game when he was serving his suspension from the Palace incident. He was at the game handing out his mixed Rap CD that he had put out. He became a Laker, well it was on and cracking. I met him again at his event when he auctioned of his Championship ring.

PAUL PIERCE

KEVIN GARNETT

ODELL BECKHAM JR.

ODELL BECKHAM JR.

You never know which T.O. is going to show up. He’s NFL Hall of Famer who I think is mis-understood at times. A cat that came from humble beginnings and made it to the Hall of Fame. T.O. He’s a huge fan of comedy and used to come to Phat Tuesdays. Participated in my brother’s Celebrity Basketball game in. St. Louis. Currently hosts a podcast with Mathew Hatchett called “Get Yo Popcorn Ready. “

ODELL BECKHAM JR.

ODELL BECKHAM JR.

ODELL BECKHAM JR.

I first met this cat at a Laker game in the Chairman’s Room at Half-Time. This was before he played for the Rams. I was shocked that he knew who I was. Then he became a Ram and then Super Bowl Champion and I’m sure Canton, OH is next. This picture was taken right after the Rams won the 2022 NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl.

COOPER KUPP

ODELL BECKHAM JR.

COOPER KUPP

If this guy keeps playing the way he has been, the Hall Of Fame will be calling his name. He’s already a Super Bowl Champion and Pro Bowler. This picture was taken right after the Rams won the 2022 NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl.

VON MILLER

JASON WHITWORTH

COOPER KUPP

Two time Super Bowl Champion Mr. Miller was in full party mode when this picture was snapped. He’s definitely going to get that call from Canton for the Hall. I wonder if that hat will be apart of the bust they make of him. This picture was taken right after the Rams won the 2022 NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl.

JASON WHITWORTH

Now retired and I’m sure first ballot Hall Of Famer and Super Bowl Champion and current analyst for Thursday Night Football on Prime was cool enough to let me grab a flick. This picture was taken right after the Rams won the 2022 NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl.

DERRICK BROOKS

JASON WHITWORTH

JASON WHITWORTH

One of the fiercest but nicest guys you’d want to meet. A Super Bowl Champion and Hall Of Famer, Derrick took some time out to let me snap a flick with him. This was taken in Miami in the media center during Super Bowl ?

TROY AIKMAN

TROY AIKMAN

TROY AIKMAN

One of the best to have ever done it at that position. He’s the last Cowboy Quarterback to has been to the Super Bowl. He’s dome it 3 times and the “How Bout Dem Cowboys” haven’t been back since. I’m NOT a fan of the Cowboys but I had to snap a flick with him. This was taken in Miami in the media center during Super Bowl ? . His bust is definitely in Canton at the Hall Of Fame.

KURT WARNER

TROY AIKMAN

TROY AIKMAN

This guy went from stocking grocery store shelves to stocking Super Bowl trophies, Rings and MVPs. The Quarter Back for “The Greatest Show On Turf”, Kurt was one of the greatest success stories that I’ve seen. His faith in GOD and support from his family will bring a tear to your eye. This NFL Hall Of Famer is testimony that keeping the faith pays off. This flick was taken at the NFL Network.

DRAYMOND GREEN

“The Greatest Show On Turf” was some of my happiest years as a Rams fan. This cat is not only destined for the Hall Of Fame, he’s been in the conversation of being probably part of the best Wide Receiver Duo’s in NFL history. He also has the best first name after the name GUY. It’s even spelled the same way. He always supported my shows when I’m in Raleigh, NC. Super cool cat.

DRAYMOND GREEN

DRAYMOND GREEN

DRAYMOND GREEN

This future NBA Hall Of Famer and 4 time NBA Champion was at the Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock concert in San Francisco at Chase Arena where the Golden State Warriors play. This cat plays the game with the intensity you’d want every player to have. He was there with a few other Warrior players. I had to flick it up with someone who plays the game to win and never takes a play off. He was mad cool.

KEVIN DURANT

DRAYMOND GREEN

KEVIN DURANT

This silent assassin is a two time NBA Champion and future Hall Of Famer as well as a 3 time Olympic Gold Metalist. MARK JACKSON
